Bumming around watching online streaming Japanese serials, pretty awesome actually.
I've had enough of sudden funerals. I don't want to take to such news anymore, or having to make a trip down with family for them. But more will come, ironically morbid.
I miss my Dad and his rare solemn nags, that constant need to make himself a cuppa every half hour or so, that shuffling of feet while making his way to the bathroom, the hearty guffaws when he's in a cheery mood.
I miss Kenn and that silly grin, that familiar muffled laughter, those crinkles around his eyes when he smiles, that safe comfort space in his arms that I have always longed to feel right in, and those kisses.
Suddenly, I don't feel like flying off and leaving my lovelies behind for 5 months anymore.

packing, unpacking, packing, unpacking
MOVING HOUSE IS TIRING. The novelty is slowly wearing off, slowly seeping away.

Today I woke up feeling strangely disheartened. But I know I shouldn't. Because it will never make any sense, now or ever.

Today was spent washing dishes that were to be packed into cardboard boxes, a trip to the bank, more packing, sitting on the back of a lorry and having fun with wind in my hair, and supper at Coffee Club with Kenn. Life ain't all that bad, except for my mum's constant shrill nagging. Makes my ear drums ring violently, my head pound at exponential speed. Hmmm.
SHIN KUSHINYA

I love Xiwei, Cyn, Farand for making this evening so special! It'd would have been better if Kenn were around though.
We headed down to Shin Kushinya at Suntec for good ole' authentic Japanese food. I think I died and went to heaven a million times in the midst of savouring and chewing on the lovely grilled delicacies. Hot Sake was fantastic, made me feel warm and fuzzy. Definitely hit the spot when it trailed down my gut and settled nicely in my tummy. Mmm. Salads were superb! I never knew fresh, crisp vegetables like carrot and cucumber sticks could taste so crunchy and sweet. The other salad with fried garlic, bacon, and Eastern Japanese dressing, was to die for. Each bite of the veggies was too refreshing! Before we even scrapped up the last bit of greens, cold, lightly-poached egg was served in a clear bonito broth. Different from the normal YaKun soft-boiled egg with soya sauce, this dish was pleasantly light, and left me craving for more. Slurping this up with a cute wooden spoon definitely made me a very happy girl.
Soft Shell Crab Roll was recommended by the staff in the menu Wei prepared (so touched!), but we all agreed that the other items on the list outshone this. The Sashimi of yellowtail, tuna, swordfish, fresh prawns, salmon, were orgasmic, please! Each slice of sweet meat was freshness beyond belief. We all had our share of tearing when the shiok searing wasabi flared up our nostrils. Sashimi, a must try, and it satisfied my month-long craving of raw fish! =)
Next came a plate of grilled mushrooms, pork wrapped in mozzarella cheese, pock neck in mustard sauce, chicken with tako-wasbi (sweet octopus in wasabi, drizzled on a stick of grilled marinated chicken). Each item had its own unique taste and texture. Cyn baby and I went crazy over the shiitake mushrooms! Never have grilled mushrooms tasted so delightful, so chewy, so delectable. Must try, please! The golden mushrooms wrapped with thinly-sliced pork was the right size, and not too chewy! They slid down my throat nicely after a couple of bites, and the savoury marinate on the pork was oh-so heavenly. Flat noodles/soba served with duck broth dip made Cyn and I go high. I have never tasted cold noodles this awesome. The salty, thick and creamy broth with spring onions and a right amount of crunchy radish accentuated the soba noodles brilliantly =).
Matcha ice-cream was a definite replica of my favorite Starbucks' green tea Frappucino, in a much creamier form. A single scoop of that was just right for me, and the red beans accompanying it added a different texture to the sweet, aromatic ice-cream. Farand and Wei had Goma(seseme) ice-cream, which tasted wonderful, just like a creamier, colder version of a bowl of Hong Kong's sesame paste. Fragant, it was! Thank you, Wei, for allowing me to have a personalised menu to take away with! You guys are so sweet!
Starbucks came next, and we bummed around laughing and chilling out, with stories about mutual friends, and reminiscing about our younger days. I haven't laughed so hard in ages, and Farand claimed his cheeks actually hurt during the ride home. Thank you, Far, Cyn and Wei for a fantabulous evening! A great end to a day/night filled with much laughter, satisfied stomachs, healthy scrumptious food, uplifting spirits, and crazy singing of oldies.
I LOVE YOU GUYS! =))

Today, marks the auspicious date for one's moving into a new house. My mum's excitement to conduct rituals was quite suffocating. She insisted that fruits and joss sticks be placed on red paper right smack at the doorway, while she muttered prayers for certain deities to bless the house and our family members who will reside in here. I observed silently as she shouted "FENG SHAN SHUI QI!" and "FA AH!" (otherwise known as HUAT AH!), as she paraded in and out of our bedrooms with joss sticks. I was banned and had unnerving stares shot at me when I ACCIDENTALLY exploded with fits of "oh my god!","oh shit" and what the Mother terms as "annoying questions". And as part of this ritual, both of us have to stay overnight, and have a homecooked meal in our new apartment. Blk 219B, Bedok Central. Address seemingly much shorter than my current house's hmm.
Thank god for my sister's ingenuity to bring me my laptop, that I can secretly (ok, not that secretly) tap into an unknown stranger's wireless network, and stab Boredom in the eye by Youtubing Secret by Jay Chou, and of course, blogging. *smirk*
Watched Red Cliff with Kenn yesterday, and I must say, the Generals were made out to be such awesome and delicious heroes. I got very excited when each of them stepped out valiantly on horses and alone in each fighting scene, having to fend off inuandation of infantry soldiers by themselves. I loved how these 3 generals under Liu Bei's command were oh-so loyal, and how each of them were carved out to be gentle yet brave, attached with an aggressive fighting spirit, despite staring defeat in the face at Cao Cao's crazy fleets of ships and tens of thousands of soldiers. The war strategies by ZhuGe Liang, played by Takeshi, were too cool. I now have a sudden interest in Chinese history hur hur. Takeshi was hilarious and cute in the movie, please! Girls, even if you have absolutely no interest in war movies, violence, or chinese history whatsoever, please watch Red Cliff for the A-list actors (especially Takeshi!). Lin Chiling, who was playing the role of Zhou Yu's virtuous, loving wife, was pretty redundant in the film. Her acting was quite pathetic, really. All she had to do was to look pretty, show off her sexy belly, act really sensual even when helping a horse give birth (what!?). And then suddenly (spoiler alert) the entire movie got me disappointed when I had the revelation that Cao Cao's war motive revolved around her.
I got a secret!
I secretly miss working at ICC...
cos' of the lovely people there! Here comes my list of ICC people I adore and will miss ever so much when I go overseas in 3 weeks time!
My crazy lovely friend, Cassie Baby! My my, She never ever fails to brighten the day when I'm working with her, especially with her silly dramatic antics like rubbing her tummy, and her random remarks! She is the only one like me who also closes the cash register using our tummies!! *guffaws* Oh-so adorable! I love her to bits and am missing her now! I'd love to have late night Uno and drinks again with you, babe =)
BLUE EYES! Ah Beng stunt biker! Object of desire of Blue Eyes Fan Club by girls far and wide!He and J made Bouncy Bouncy Smack Smack a song I will never forget. Looks really lethal and cold at first with em' piercing blue eyes, but that exterior melts away immediately when em' vulgarities and funny nonsense pours out of that mouth! He loves to talk to small girls in school uniforms, then boast about his extensive fan club! He gets soooo red, like me, after a sip of alcohol =)
FARAND CHEN! I never knew I could ever click with someone so readily, so crazily, so quickly within 1 working session. He is my GURLFRAN, my male self, and I swear we were somehow separated at birth. Fantastic, awesome boy whom I love to ask to drive me back home after work. His accent imitations are fabulous, and we share the same taste for lame-ass humour! Love ya tons, Gurlfran! You da man, you mah homie, ya dig? *thumps chest* ;)
Mr Jonathan Tan! Haha he told me he didn't like me last time cos' I was too friendly! But I forgive him cos' he is very adorable and loves to hang his BIRDIE at Bedok North with em' Ah Peks. I love talking nonsense with him at work haha. Jon, You still owe me teh tarik! Always talking about Muay Thai, and checking out hot girls with me. Together, Cyn, Gen, you and I will rule NTU!
Hui Fen, Mei Mei, Darren, Jeremy have all made working at ICC wonderful too! HF being the one whom I have to massage shoulders for after she works out too much at the gym. Mei Mei the one with cute lips, Darren the trash-talking Phang Sai, and Jeremy the one with random sexy dance moves for songs on the radio! Nicole, the pretty one who had to endure endless daunting questioning about her flowers from certain SUITORS, Luci the sexy girl, Stef the cute one who did the Yahoo Party with me, and sweet Jae =).
And And! my pretty Cynthia Baby whom I will miss so soso so much when I leave to the U.S. She has been the one whom I will call and complain to for gossip sessions, the one whom I hang out with at school, the one who always accompanies me to look for my belongings when lose em' at random places in school, and the one who has made me laugh oh-too many times. I love you, babe! I cannot wait for Tuesday!!
This is the end of my uber long post! Cheers, everyone! =)

I melt when I get to hear a good male vocalist. Mmm. Jason Mraz is awesome, so is his bongo buddy/harmony back-up singer here. Listening to them makes me feel like prancing around the room. My mum's offering to pay whoever who wants to help clean my new house, and can stand her demanding instructions! I scrubbed the toilet bowl today, it ain't a good day.
I won't hesitate, no more, no more.

I was feeling bored and like an insomniac, so I decided to browse through photos on my desktop and found the following for random viewing pleasures for one and all!
This was taken when our class met our mates for the first time in Year 1 Sem 1. Yes, we posed retardedly. I miss my class!
HAHAHAHAHA I dedicate this to Farand. Don't kill me, GurlFrannnn!
Posing artistically along Armenian Street with cousins!
We were told by my sis to look as if money was falling out of the sky!
And after that, I secretly wished I could fly.
My new room-to-be!
Pretty Lightings in the Living Room
My sister's new room-to-be
As you can see, I was busy prodding my cheeks, wishing I ain't got no fats there.
Back when my hair was long and when Kenn bought me a new phone! =) Cafe Bar at Parkway.
This was taken today when I was sleepy and dragged to my new house to serve as a maid.
Juliana the pretty half Siamese, half Persian cat with big blue googly eyes. She is actually really fat with triple chins, armed with a deceiving furry long tail that can slap your calf!

Xiaxue and Dawn are in for some major catfight and probable impending lawsuits! Albeit personal opinions should be freely aired on blogs (with the exception of racism and government issues hmm), I think Xiaxue went a little too far with the defamatory comments. Oh well! The buzz will simmer away slowly, and soon no one will ever remember the deleted post's existence. Arissa Cheo is sizzlin' hot stuff! Zomg.
On sidetracking, I have pondered and conclude that, I do not like being bossed around to do clean-ups. I love hanging out with Missy Cassandra Ho. I am excited to work with Missy Cynthia Ong, even if it's for a while. I do not like to be treated as a blatant medium in eliminating one's boredom.
I am typing this while listening to Monica from F.R.I.E.N.D.S moan while Phoebe gives her a seemingly-orgasmic back rub/massage. Kinky stuff ;)
